Job Description

This very rare Daimler Avon Estate. Only a few of these cars were ever built in the late 70’s, and not many of them have survived.

This car need a full body restoration due to corrosion. The rust areas were typical for this model of Daimler and involved arches, sills, etc.

Not so typical was the work carried out to the heavily modified roof area and glass areas. It involved corrosion repairs and the removal of an added sunroof.

Jaguar has never made a production estate version of any Series of XJ, but a number do exist, many of them made by Ladbroke-Avon, and here we drive a pristine example. It's not pretty…but it is practical!
