Restoration Description
This Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Super Estate is a very rare example, of the once so common Mk 2 Cortina. These cars are now very rare, and to see a Super Estate is an even rarer sight.
The car was in a very complete, original condition. Rust was appearing in wheel arches, sills and and the wings. On closer inspection, further rust was found inside the wheel arches and around the rear spring mounts.
This restoration involved repairs and fabrication of smaller parts to repair the affected areas. The front valence, the inner arches and sill ends were all restored. Finally, the repaired areas were prep’d, primed and painted.
