Restoration Description
In 1984, Porsche introduced the 911 Supersport in the UK, it was commonly known as the "Turbo-look". It was a style that resembled the Porsche 930 Turbo with wide wheel arches and the distinctive "tea tray” tail. It featured the stiffer turbo suspension and the superior turbo braking system as well as the wider turbo wheels.
After stripping and inspecting the car we found rust had penetrated: The N/S inner front wing behind the battery and around the fuel filler neck. Both N/S and O/S sills, inner sills, kidney bowl stiffeners, lower rear quarter panels and B pillars.
As the customer wants to spread the cost of the repairs the car will be restored over a longer period so watch the progress here.
